Join us as we commune in the lovely month of February when the sun begins tio gradually return after the darkest months. February's name came from the Latin word februarius, meaning to purify. Juno Februis was the mother of Mars, the god of war. Some believe the name came from her because she was the goddess of passionate love. Her rituals of love were celebrated on February 14th, which we've come to know as Valentine's Day.
We’ll drum alongside the rhythm of the leaves and the trees as we enjoy the slow turning into spring! Bring some drums or rattles or any other percussive instrument to join us!
This is a social-only event with no agenda other than a celebration and gathering of community. Completely casual. We welcome all of your beautiful selves and all of your diversity and uniqueness.
Please bring yourself a picnic lunch, a drink (plus something to share if desired), and a drum, if you have one! Please do NOT bring, or be on, any illegal substances as we are supporting a safe community space. Please be appropriately vaxxed and boosted to attend this event.
Optional hiking in Kenneth Hahn and/or botanical garden viewing at Stoneview Nature Center afterward for whoever is interested and is traveling light.
